At a time when He was ready to destroy everything, Hashem still chose to save Noach, seeing the greatness in him and considering him a tzaddik. As we daven and walk the path of teshuva, we must remember that Hashem sees the good in us and loves us deeply. The more challenging our surroundings make it to cling to Him, the greater we are in His eyes when we do. To help us get closer and in the right mindset for the Yomim Noraim, we’ve brought out this classic, “Vegam” by Moshe Goldman z”l, from the archives. Isaac Honig’s stirring vocals, backed by the Shira Choir and Mendy Hershkowitz Band, will touch your heart and help you feel Hashem’s loving embrace as we enter the New Year. Achoseini is a song about the bracha we wish the chosson and kallah at their wedding. It was in honor of the wedding of my dear sister that I composed this song to which my friend, mentor and musical producer Mendy Hershkowitz wrote a brilliant symphonic arrangement. We are joined by the sweet voice of child soloist Zevy Wertzberger and the Lev Choir, led by my friend, Aba Berkowitz, who gave this song the artistic touch it needed. Classic songs are treasured by listeners over the arc of many generations. Many such songs owe their nostalgia and wide acceptance to their perfect simplicity and wholesomeness. This Bobov march, composed by Rabbi Chaim Duvid Blum, of blessed memory, falls squarely within that realm. Covering such a classic—indeed, attempting to embellish it—is a careful, skillful task for which Shira is particularly well suited. This is part of our ongoing series of refining and refreshing old, Chassidic songs. Here, too, Shira’s talented voices, and wonderful chemistry with the inimitable Mendy Hershkowitz Band and classical arrangements by maestro Yisroel Lamm only serve to elevate this wonderful composition for the appreciation by a whole new generation of listeners. With Lag Ba’Omer upon us, we begin to reflect on the tragedy which took the lives of 45 Kedoshim in Meron last year. We don’t understand Hashem’s reasoning or why He chose to take these precious neshamos on such a holy day, at such a holy site. But, we don’t question His ways. We stand with Him despite the challenges He sends our way. This is the message of this song, written by Yanky Daskal at the request of a father who lost his son in Meron. It is our hope that the heartfelt emotion put into this production is felt by each and every one of you.

Last Summer, Shmueli Ungar was scheduled to perform together with MBD in a major show with Haminagnim in Eretz Yisroel. Sadly, there were terror attacks in the form of rockets flying in very close to where the concert was scheduled to be. The police, due to safety issues decided the show needs to be canceled. Upon arriving back to America, Shmueli was discussing a Chupa they had that night with Mendy Hershkowitz of Sababa Band. Mendy asked him the complete story as he had only heard bits and pieces, during the conversation the idea came up to do a song together. Shmueli, echoing his thoughts about this recent story, settled on the words, “Bitchu Bashem” for a concept. No matter what happens, no matter the curves life throws our way, Hashem is the one in charge, all we have to do is keep the faith. Together with composer Hershey Weinberger and his producer, Naftali Schnitzler the super team joined together to create the upcoming single and video you are about to enjoy.

At this year’s annual Chesed Williamsburg appreciation event, Shira Choir showed one such kind of goodwill: honoring the gathered community with a spellbinding rendition of Keil Odoin. This lively, optimistic melody became a classic the moment it was composed by the inimitable, irreplaceable R’ Benzion Shenker, that great voicemaker of the Modzitzer dynasty. The lyrics describe the concept and connection of the ‘Tehilim’ with such depth and emotion, and the melody is just overwhelmingly touching and fitting. The song was written and composed by Motty Ilowitz, and was originally released vocally on Motty Steinmentz’s first album. Meine Tefillin is a musical masterpiece composed and written by the legendery Lipa Schmeltzer. It was recorded by Avraham Fried on his album Ah Mechayeh and was arranged by Avremi G. Blessed with a powerful sensational voice, rare vocal control and unique performing abilities, Yidi gives this song an unmatched performance. The Musical accompaniment by the Sababa Band led by Mendy Hershkowitz, and rich vocal enhancement by the Lev Choir gives this song the perfect feel. Yidi has recently taken the market by storm, infusing energy at weddings, leading emotional chuppahs, and charismatically transforming dinners and upscale events, alongside the biggest names in Jewish music. This song was performed live at a recent Sheva Brachos at the Brightstone hall.

In honor of the upcoming Yom Tov of Shavuos when Moshe Rabeinu gave us the Torah, Shmaya Fischer presents the magnificent song “Tzadikim”, a beautiful melody that has never been recorded live. Shmaya is a rising star in the Chassidishe music scene. Many of you have been hearing about his incredible voice. Shmaya is blessed with vocals that are powerful, yet hartzig and sweet at the same time. After watching this incredible performance, it will be clear that he is living up to all of the hype. The amazing Sababa Band executed the song to perfection, along with the sweet harmonies of the Shira Choir. “Tzadikim” was composed by Moshe Wertzberger originally recorded by Yaakov Shwekey, originally from the album “Ad Bli Dai”, released in 2009. The magnificent lyrics were written by Motty Illowitz. This live performance was recorded at the Annual Chessed Appreciation event at Ateres Avraham in Williamsburg. In front of a packed house of over 3000 people at the Bonei Olom Boro Park event, Zanvil Weinberger from Israel took on the challenge of singing this amazing classic composed by R’ Moshe Goldman Z”L, originally recorded by the famous Camp Shalve choir back in the 1980’s, Zanvil who’s already making waves in the chassidish world with his unique voice and range, gave the crowed a taste of that uniqueness with this nostalgic performance, backed by the Shira Choir with Yoely Horowitz at the helm and with the now already famed Sababa Band with Mendy Hershkowitz’s new take on this song’s arrangement. What a memorable & emotional event this year at the grand Yaldei dinner in Montreal. Here is one of the highlights of the event with the king of jewish music MBD with the phenomenal music arranger & director Mendy Hershkowitz combined with the unique and talented zimra Choir producing this heartfull song “Refuainu” The song goes back to the 90’s when Yerachmial Bigun, composer and director of the Miami Boys Choir” performed this song at a HASC concert together with MBD. Now the success replayed when MBD chose it to be the theme of the yaldei event. Yaldei (Canada) is a non-profit early intervention center, school, and therapy center.
